Spanning disco, house, funk, electro and boogie, this all vinyl lineup plus live-drum setup brings a new tactile energy to the space as we turn the soundsystem up and the lights down.

Curated by Ryan Isca, live on the drum. Isca got his start producing electronic music and making original music for content and film before diving into the world of live-loop dj sets. From art galleries to warehouses, he co-founded a local party series that brought rare dance music to unexpected spaces. Unique to his sets, is the inclusion of a live digi-drum, which creates improvisational beats and grooves. His latest venture: curating and collecting vinyl. A lover of music, art, design and travel, he has had the privilege of browsing crates from Manchester to Amsterdam, Paris to Oaxaca. On 9.26 he will be curating SHAPES with some incredible selectors – sharing some of their favorite deep cuts across international dance music.

DJ Nola of Freak of the Week is a true party authority. With her time-tested skill and broad experience, Nola wields and weaves her selections from Deep Funk to Slammin’ Disco; Vocal-Infused House to Banging Techno.
Mike Pifer has been DJing, producing, and working in music for nearly 20 years. Now a Minneapolis local after a 15-year stint in Brooklyn, he is the founder of HiFi PopUp, and he loves to spin funky disco, deep house, and jazz-infused rarities.
The Excavators, aka McGinnis & QJ, are the DJ duo behind Wax Appeal, a vinyl-focused series of record exchanges and vinyl-only dance parties. Conor McGinnis has been digging and selecting records since his days at WSUM 91.7 FM Madison, where his weekly show The Spinzone evolved from jazz into deep house, broken beat, and nu-disco, with programming later picked up by San Francisco’s SutroFM. Minneapolis-based DJ and record collector QJ has been spinning since 2010, with a deep bag spanning disco, jazz, funk, soul, house, and techno. The two joined forces in 2022, bringing their shared love of records to the dance floor as The Excavators.
