Zachary Finnegan is a Chicago-based trumpeter, composer, and bandleader rapidly making his mark in the jazz world. Since joining Michael Bublé’s band in 2022, Finnegan has performed in iconic arenas and stadiums across the globe, including Madison Square Garden, the Staples Center, London’s O2 Arena, the Metropolitan Opera House, São Paulo’s Allianz Parque, and Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena. Hailed for his “golden tone and excellent technical command” (All About Jazz), he has contributed to 14 albums, including his critically acclaimed debut solo release, Guidance & Gratitude (2024).
Finnegan’s trumpet has been featured in ensembles such as KNOWER, Clint Breeze & The Groove, the Buddy Rich Big Band, the Alan Gresik Swing Orchestra, and the Camila Mennitte Quintet. His bands have graced the stages of premier jazz clubs and listening rooms across the country, including The Green Mill and Andy’s Jazz Club (Chicago), The Jazz Kitchen (Indianapolis), Café Coda (Madison), and Mr. Tipple’s (San Francisco). He consistently collaborates with musicians like Meghan Stagl, Camila Mennitte, Jared Thompson, Carrington Clinton, Eric Brink, and Luke Sagadin.
