Tommy Barbarella, Jim Anton, and Dave Anania have a rich history of playing music together. With their new project, WirBäck, you can expect a musically adventurous evening, honoring the greats of multiple genres and eras. Expect blurred stylistic boundaries through a melding of funk, soul, Latin, and jazz.

WirBäck has its origin in the Minneapolis music scene of the late 1990s, where the three bandmates were part of the powerhouse Minneapolis "alternative soul collective" Greazy Meal.
Tommy Barbarella (Prince’s New Power Generation, Nick Jonas, Miley Cyrus, Switchfoot, Mandy Moore); Jim Anton (Lizzo, Cory Wong, Jonny Lang, Nachito Herrera, Paul Westerberg); and Dave Anania (Blue Man Group, Shannon Curfman, Ronny Loew, Estaire Godinez, Dr. Mambo's Combo) have a musical brotherhood that has stood the test of time—30 years, to be exact.
Their influences and set lists span seven decades of legendary compositions, including songs by John Coltrane, Charlie Parker, Wayne Shorter, Prince, Sly and the Family Stone, Tower of Power, and Michael Brecker. Through medleys, mashups, and their own unique arrangements of twists and turns, their shows are guaranteed to offer something for fans of all genres and ages.
