The Morgan Turner Quartet is a Chicago-based contemporary jazz quartet. Led by bassist and composer Morgan Turner, the group draws inspiration from a wide array of jazz greats, including Wayne Shorter, Mark Turner, and Kurt Rosenwinkel. At Berlin, Turner will perform a blend of original contemporary jazz songs and covers of familiar favorites with Arman Sangalang on tenor saxophone, Kyle Paul on guitar, and Paul Barrilles on drums.

Morgan Turner is a Chicago-based bassist and composer. She received her Bachelor of Music from Northern Illinois University and is currently pursuing a Master of Music at Western Michigan University. Turner was selected to participate in the Women in Jazz Organization 2023 mentorship program, during which she was mentored by composer Ayn Inserto. Turner is member of the Chicago jazz collective IRIS, who released their self-titled debut album on Shifting Paradigm Records in 2024. In 2022, IRIS was one of four groups across the United States selected for the Jazz Aspen Snowmass Academy. Turner can be heard throughout Chicago with a variety of musicians as a sidewoman and a leader.
