Michaelton is a producer and vocalist whose music sits at the intersection of soul, electronic, beats, classical, and ambient. Think James Blake meets Photay. His work explores the depths of the human experience, driven by a lifelong fascination with music that moves the heart as well as the body. As a DJ, Michaelton interweaves genres with a focus on musicality and emotional resonance while staying true to his first love: jazzy beats. His sets explore rich electronic music with a heavy emphasis on groove. Expect music that sounds like how an old fashioned tastes: smooth, layered, timeless, and liable to knock you out of your chair after too many.

Michaelton has participated heavily in many of the Twin Cities’ music scenes for over a decade, drawing inspiration from this rich community and his beautiful relationships with its members. Michaelton sees himself more as a facilitator than a performer, enjoying playing intimate sets that hold space for other art or wellness activities. Whether it's a sound bath in a geodesic dome or a live set in a jazz club, he brings his whole heart to those willing to listen.
