Bassoonist Garrett Jones and his quartet will perform two sets of music, featuring original compositions from Jones’ previous releases, Tributaries (2023) and Vestiges (2022), as well as unreleased material.

Garrett Jones is a Minneapolis-based bassoonist and composer known for his cross-genre bassoon techniques and jazz bassoon recordings. His original compositions for bassoon and rhythm section bring Western classical compositional techniques to an improvisational setting, and his improvisations with the Aspects Trio bring electric bassoon into new musical territory. He has performed in jazz clubs in Minneapolis and Phoenix and has been an invited performer at the conference of the International Double Reed Society.
