Formed in New York City in 2022, The Outside In worked the city’s underground club circuit for two years, culminating in their debut album The Outside In: Live in Brooklyn. Now, bandleader Ethan Ostrow is reimagining the music with some of the most accomplished, versatile musicians in the Twin Cities. Soaring melodies, passionate solos, head-banging grooves, and reflective ballads all define the music, which can be described as a blend between the Brian Blade Fellowship, Snarky Puppy, and Ostrow’s unique compositional voice.

Ethan Ostrow is a Minneapolis-based pianist, composer, and singer. A recent transplant to Minnesota, Ostrow has quickly established himself across genres, performing and recording with the Snapped Open Mic band, Ashley DuBose, Adam Bohanan, Omar Abdulkarim, Kathleen Johnson, Abinnet Berhanu, Dakota Andersen, Leslie Vincent, Toussaint Morrison, the Twin Cities Latin Jazz Orchestra, and more.
