Beloved Twin Cities jazz singer Thomasina Petrus is proud to present the work of NOAMZ, a rising alt-soul talent from southern Wisconsin. Petrus will perform with her band, then pass the stage to NOAMZ.
Thomasina Petrus is a professional jazz singer, songwriter, and Equity actor who has cultivated her many talents through study, mentorships, and friendships of many elite Twin Cities artists. She is a creative muse rooted in the legacy of Black women’s voices, and she creates exceptional music and theater experiences for stage, film, corporate events, and commercial marketing. She has toured the country honoring Billie Holiday with productions of “Lady Day @ Emerson’s Bar & Grill” by Lanie Robertson and staged original productions of “The Best of Billie & Me.”

NOAMZ is an emerging vocalist, flutist, multi-instrumentalist, and producer making alt-soul music. Drawing inspiration from jazz, indie, and hip-hop, her powerful sound vibrates with soulful flute, pulsing electronics, powerful vocals, and poignant lyrics. Her mixed background and upbringing in the Midwest, the Caribbean, and France have shaped her eclectic style of music. NOAMZ has released three EPs and will release a live EP in 2026. She has racked up more than 400,000 likes for her flute beatboxing videos on TikTok; has been featured on the Wisconsin radio station WORT; and has added her flute touch to the Senegalese soccer team anthem.
