Jazz pianist and composer Michael Ragonese brings his trio on tour, performing music from Chasing Calm, his third album. Rooted in modern jazz with classical influence, the music centers on strong melodies, group interplay, and improvisation, moving fluidly from intimate, quieter moments to high-energy playing, with plenty of room for the trio to take things somewhere different each night. The live show goes beyond the album, blending Ragonese's original compositions with new arrangements and material the trio has developed on the road. The Chasing Calm tour continues through 2026, with performances across the U.S. and Europe at major jazz clubs and festivals.

Los Angeles–based jazz pianist and composer Michael Ragonese has developed a distinct sound rooted in modern jazz, classical influence, and his Italian heritage. He has performed, toured, and recorded with artists including Barbra Streisand, Walter Smith III, Ben Wendel, Mark Turner, Dayna Stephens, Charnett Moffett, Bennie Maupin, Dave Binney, and Engelbert Humperdinck.
With three acclaimed albums — Day to Day (2019), Stracci (2023), and Chasing Calm (2025) — Ragonese continues to develop a personal approach to composition and improvisation. Chasing Calm, featuring Walter Smith III, Luca Alemanno, and JK Kim, received international praise from publications including DownBeat Magazine, which called it “a deceptively deep album” that “rewards repeated listening.” Ragonese was also recently featured by The New York Times in its coverage of the Los Angeles jazz scene.
Following extensive touring throughout the U.S., Ragonese brought his music to Europe in 2026, performing throughout Italy and Spain, including appearances at Camera Jazz Club in Bologna sponsored by the Bologna Jazz Festival. He will return to Europe in 2027 for another tour, followed by plans to record his fourth album in southern Italy.
In addition to his performing career, Ragonese is the co-founder of Modern Artist, an advanced high school jazz program, and a founding director of the Libretto Conservatory in partnership with the internationally recognized Libretto Jazz Club.

Anthony Fung is a Los Angeles–based drummer, composer, producer, and educator. A prolific bandleader with a deep, dynamic sonic footprint, his recent releases as a leader include Common Language and In Real Life, building on an expansive discography featuring projects like FO(U)RTH (feat. Mark Turner), EPOCH, and New World. Beyond the stage, his compositional work extends into film and media scoring, including the soundtrack for the feature documentary The Last Tourist.
A versatile collaborator across modern jazz, hip-hop, and R&B, Fung has shared the stage and studio with artists such as Terrace Martin, Wiz Khalifa, Common, and Cyrille Aimée. He maintains an active global touring schedule, appearing at premier venues and international festivals including International Jazz Day, Monterey, Montreal, and the Toronto Jazz Festival. As a dedicated educator, he serves on the faculty at the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts (LACHSA) and the Modern Artist Jazz Institute (MAJI), while presenting masterclasses worldwide.
Born in Canada, Fung is an alumnus of the prestigious Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz Performance (now the Herbie Hancock Institute) — where he studied and performed alongside icons Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, and Danilo Pérez — and holds degrees from Berklee College of Music.

Logan Kane is a Los Angeles–based bassist, composer, and producer crafting music that feels both grounded and slightly otherworldly. Moving between upright bass, electric textures, and subtle electronics, his work lives in the space between pulse and atmosphere: rhythmically alive, harmonically deep, and emotionally immersive. Rooted in jazz but unconstrained by it, Kane blends organic instrumentation with modern production, building soundscapes that feel intimate yet expansive. His music can be meditative and spacious one moment, propulsive and textural the next — always balancing structure with freedom. A central presence in LA’s creative music community, Kane’s projects range from large-ensemble compositions to experimental collaborations that blur genre lines. Beyond his artist releases, he has also composed for film and television, bringing his cinematic sensibility to the screen. At its core, Logan Kane’s music is about movement — between genres, between acoustic and electronic worlds, between tension and beauty — creating a sound that feels exploratory, precise, and unmistakably his own.
