International Anthem signee and SML member Gregory Uhlmann will share beautiful warbles, fuzzy vibrations, and playful rhythms in his Minneapolis debut, presented by Berlin in partnership with Liquid Music. For fans of Jeff Parker, Cole Pulice, and Tara Clerkin Trio.
Lonefront, aka Ross Hutchens, opens the show with a live set of warm synths and downtempo drums.

Composer/producer Gregory Uhlmann shifts nimbly between guitar, synth, recorder, percussion, and piano, his otherworldly compositions showcasing a masterful understanding of musical layering. Uhlmann’s early work as co-leader of Los Angeles indie experimental outfit Fell Runner established his presence on the West Coast scene after relocating from Chicago, and he regularly records and/or performs with Perfume Genius, Hand Habits, and Anna Butterss’s backing band. Whether he’s contributing to the LA trance-jazz improvisation of SML, the progressive electroacoustic chamber music of his trio with Josh Johnson and Sam Wilkes, or the hushed melancholic rhythm machine of Duffy x Uhlmann, it’s clear that Uhlmann is a lead asset in every collaboration.
Uhlmann’s work as a solo artist encompasses cleverly arranged chamber-folk songwriting and beautifully abstract experimental jazz-informed instrumental compositions. His latest album, Extra Stars, explores that latter territory to a deeper degree than ever before. This new work, his solo debut for International Anthem, pulls Uhlmann even further into the spotlight while showcasing his knack for directing his community of collaborators.

Ross Hutchens, aka Lonefront, is an electronic musician from the Bay Area and based in Minneapolis. Occupying dual roles as a DJ and a live PA, Hutchens is renowned for seamlessly blending hardware synths and drum machines to create immersive sonic experiences. His music is performed by some of techno’s most-beloved DJs in clubs worldwide, and he has performed alongside luminaries such as Luke Slater, BMG, Juana, and DVS1. In 2022, Hutchens founded Uncoiled, a record label that quickly gained notoriety due to a feature in DJ Nobu’s BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix. Hutchens is a 2025 McKnight Visiting Composer with the American Composers Forum.
