Luminary alto saxophonist Logan Richardson makes Minneapolis his laboratory this July.

Part concert, part installation, and part social practice, Richardson’s A Living Score residency unfolds as a creative process where sound, breath, movement, place, and human interaction become compositional materials. Each day informs the next. Berlin becomes both stage and studio.

At the center of A Living Score is Richardson, whose saxophone, voice, electronics, field recordings, film, and live composition techniques create a framework that is both structured and open. Key creative voices Kevin Washington, Kavyesh Kaviraj, and Omar Abdulkarim join Richardson for each installment. Lauded bassist Melvin Gibbs lends his presence on Thursday and Friday nights.
