A vital force in the Minneapolis music scene with reach far beyond it, the Laurels String Quartet has supported stars including Father John Misty, Semisonic, and Ondara but have not stepped out as headliners themselves.

This March, that changes! The Laurels will host a five-week residency at Berlin, joined by a rotating cast of exceptional artists from their creative orbit.

For the inaugural evening of the Laurels’ residency, storytellers Annie Humphrey and Barbara Cohen will present a program of moving, evocative new arrangements alongside the quartet and go-to guitarist Jeremy Ylvisaker.

This evening, Laurels String Quartet and Aby Wolf will further develop their electric collaboration of voice and strings. The quartet will also be joined by multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and producer Eric Mayson in a genre-bending performance that blurs the lines between indie and chamber music.
