Vie Boheme has been performing in the Guthrie Theater’s production of Cabaret this summer for six days a week. On Aug. 11, she will share her own music and choreography with audiences in Berlin’s intimate room. Expect original alternative R&B tunes, jazz standards, and pop covers—all brought to life with Vie’s typical courage and intuition. She will be joined by Theo Brown (keys/beatbox) and Deevo (guitar) for two shows of a capella vignettes and acoustic accompaniment. If you enjoy Solange, Destiny’s Child, and/or musical theater, this show might be for you.
Vie Boheme is a multimodal artist: a singer, dancer, actress, poet, choreographer, and writer. Vie dances as she sings, interlacing the visual and aural experiences, and weaves sentiment and storytelling into her performances through poetry and monologues. Each of her performance pieces gives a glimpse into the complex, elusive, and sometimes dark emotional spaces that people experience.
