Vertighost is a collaboration among friends who share a zeal for creative music-making. Blending their broad influences of classical, jazz, noise, funk, punk ,and free improvisation, the group creates music that is ghostly, strenuous, ethereal, and bold. The band features rapper Alexei Moon Casselle (Kill the Vultures); guitarist Jeremy Ylvisaker (Alpha Consumer, The Suburbs, Andrew Bird); cellist Jacqueline Ultan (Duo CORDA, Dust of Suns, Kingfield Tango Ensemble, Shabby Road Orchestra); percussionist/multi-instrumentalist Martin Dosh (DOSH); and bassist Mark Erickson (Detroit, The Cloak Ox).
