Usually our night off, Blue Tuesday is a rare night when Berlin opens its doors for an intimate gathering — this is not your ordinary dinner and a show. Our second Blue Tuesday is performed by the Adam Linz Quartet, and pays tribute to jazz legend Charles Mingus. A twelve-year-old Adam Linz was given a cassette tape of Charles Mingus for Christmas from his bass-playing uncle, Tom Hubbard. Thus opened the doorway to a young Linz falling in love with the music of Mingus. Look forward to renditions of classic Mingus throwdowns as well as some of the lesser-known gems.
