Trans Music Archive: ZORA (Vinyl Release) & booboo3000000

$20 (NOTAFLOF)
7:00pm Show

Trans Music Archive and ZORA will host an intimate vinyl release party for ZORA’s sophomore album, BELLAdonna, at Berlin. Expect to hear sensual, radical sounds from DJ booboo3000000; a playthrough of BELLAdonna; and acoustic versions of a few of ZORA’s songs.

ZORA is a dynamic 27-year-old Black trans and queer artist, producer, singer, and rapper whose sound blends her classical piano training, love for opera and musical theater, and deep-rooted passion for pop and hip-hop music. Drawing inspiration from icons like Stevie Wonder, Beyoncé, Prince, Janet Jackson, Kendrick Lamar, and SOPHIE, ZORA writes, produces, and records all of her own music, using instruments like piano, synths, and electric guitar to bring her bold vision to life. Having started her music journey at 14, she made waves with her SoundCloud-exclusive debut EP, Scene One, and released her critically acclaimed debut album, Z1, at 22. ZORA’s music spreads positivity and calls listeners to be unapologetically themselves.

booboo3000000, aka M. Ada Jamison, is a musician, composer, and engineer whose work has been viewed at institutions including the Walker Art Center (Minneapolis), The Shed (New York), and Sommerset House (London). M. has produced music for Black trans and queer cultural pioneers such as Kamilla Love, Blu Bone, Trannilish, Denaisha, Jada Amina, and Ms. Boogie. She recently opened Studio Arisaema—a recording studio in Minneapolis—with the primary goal of offering affordable studio space, particularly for Black artists of marginalized genders and sexualities, who make up the fabric of our local scene.
