Rambo Salinas is a longtime collector and archivist of music. A past resident of Minneapolis—and the founder of the rare funk and soul night Hotpants—he now resides in San Antonio, TX. There, he researches Chicano music and interviews Chicano musicians with the Westside Sound Oral History Project, and he runs a dance night called ¡VIAJE!.
Little Dynasty, aka Eric Banta, is the owner and operator of Names You Can Trust (NYCT) and Independent Grand in Brooklyn, NY. Through the Names You Can Trust record label, he has released over 100 different projects from all over the globe on vinyl. The de facto NYCT in-house mixing engineer, Banta has also produced and recorded under the aliases Greenwood Rhythm Coalition, Los Taxis, Beverley Road All Stars, and NY Hustlers. Banta has promoted, curated, and DJ’d countless musical events and parties that blend vintage tropical vinyl and New York–influenced sounds from the 1960s until now.
