Ms. Ada J, aka booboo3000000, is a musician, composer, and engineer whose work has been viewed at institutions including the Walker Art Center (Minneapolis), The Shed (New York), and Sommerset House (London). She has produced music for Black trans and queer cultural pioneers such as Kamilla Love, Blu Bone, Trannilish, Denaisha, Jada Amina, and Ms. Boogie. She recently opened Studio Arisaema—a recording studio in Minneapolis—with the primary goal of offering affordable studio space, particularly for Black artists of marginalized genders and sexualities, who make up the fabric of our local scene.
