Lasse Corson is bringing his friends from Chicago to create unconventional jazz in an unconventional format: a trio without bass. This format is popularly used by guitar legend Pat Metheny in his Side Eye trio. There will be songs from new and established artists and a lot of improvising.

Lasse Corson is a Minneapolis-born multi-instrumentalist, composer, and sound engineer. He has studied under Bill Charlap and Johnathan Blake, and he has worked at the Kennedy Center with the prestigious Betty Carter Jazz Ahead program directed by Jason Moran. You can find him when he comes home to visit Minneapolis or touring nationally and internationally with trumpet maverick Jeremy Pelt.
