7:00pm Show
Rooted in sounds from across the African diaspora, DJs Effygasm and Kwey build spaces for connection. Off Wax is one of those spaces.
Each Sunday in September, an artist takes the stage with a live band. Off Wax offers them the chance to bring their music to life in a way that feels close—to revisit, reimagine, or reveal. Think: MTV Unplugged if it was softly lit, deeply Black, and carefully built for community. After the live band’s performance, Effy + Kwey close the night with a DJ set, keeping the energy warm, rooted, and in flow.
