Steven Hobert's sound embodies wonder and mystery. He seeks to facilitate playfulness and healing, provoke compassion, and warmly sink into the moment. Hobert performs on piano, accordion, and vocals as a soloist; with jazz project Sirclesound; with the world beat-driven ensemble FireFlyForest; and as part of Oudyano with renowned Syrian oud player Issam Rafea. He has released three albums: "Ballet," "Ocean Eyes," and "Soft Equation."
Percussionist/multi-instrumentalist Tim O’Keefe has been regularly performing in the Twin Cities and across the United States and Canada for over 40 years. O’Keefe has accompanied internationally renowned world music artists including Simon Shaheen, Nassar Musa, Sattar, Morteza, and George Lammam. He recorded the duet CD “Passionate Voice of the Oud” with award-winning Jordanian oud player Sakhar Hattar. Locally, O’Keefe performs with a range of world music groups: Choro Borealis, Maithree with Nirmala Rajesakar, Batucada do Norte, and many others. O’Keefe was a fixture at the Loring Bar in Minneapolis for over 14 years, performing weekly with many world music ensembles. He has also composed and worked with many local theater and dance organizations.
