Adam Meckler returns to Minneapolis to perform two sets with an all-star local band. This quintet leans into poppy melodies, modern harmonies, and infectious grooves.

Adam Meckler is a trumpet player, composer, songwriter, educator, and entrepreneur living in Michigan. He is an Edwards Instrument Co. performing artist and clinician and leads the Adam Meckler Orchestra (AMO), an 18-piece big band that plays his original compositions. He has toured and/or recorded with Cory Wong, Dave Koz, Steve Cole, Youngblood Brass Band, Nooky Jones, the Hornheads (Prince), Sam Greenfield, Lucia Sarmiento, Jfab, and many others.
L.A. Buckner is a performing musician, teaching artist, and producer from the Northside of Minneapolis. He holds a master’s degree in music performance from McNally Smith College of Music and is a community partnership instructor for the MacPhail Center for Music. His artistry is full of energy, excitement, culture and excellence.
Music has been a part of Kevin Gamble's life for as long as he can remember. One of his first experiences with music was playing the piano at his uncle’s church as a kid. Gospel, jazz, funk, country, soul, and hip-hop shaped his musical style. After years of sharpening his skills on piano and finishing his music education in 2018, he formed his fusion group, the Kevin Gamble Quartet, in 2019. While playing alongside some of Minnesota’s most talented musicians, Gamble infuses elements of gospel, R&B, jazz, and funk to create a unique and fun sound that everyone will enjoy.
Christopher Rochester is an African American musician, educator, and composer. His career has taken him from classrooms to international stages, where he has led ensembles, designed programs, and spoken about music’s role in shaping culture, equity, and belonging.
Ethan Yeshaya is a bassist best known for supporting R&B and gospel artists. Yeshaya plays with L.A. Buckner & BiG HOMiE, whose first album hit number one on Apple Music’s jazz chart; Thomas Abban; and many other artists. He lives in Minneapolis with his wife, Bridget, and their dogs Penny and Buddha.
