DJ Blue Funk has been pushing rare grooves and eclectic selections to the dance floor for over a decade. After moving to the Twin Cities from northern Japan, he co-founded the vinyl-only gathering The Nitty Gritty with Brian Engel of Hipshaker and Worldwide Discotheque in 2021. He keeps up a busy DJ schedule, making appearances across the Twin Cities and at vinyl-focused events in Chicago; Washington, DC; and Tokyo, Japan. His work has aired on Tsubaki FM (Shibuya), Jazz88 (Minneapolis), Brooklyn Radio, WSUM (Madison), SutroFM (San Francisco), and WXOU FM (Michigan).
