Michael Coleman (aka blacklight) is a South Minneapolis–based selector whose style is anchored in the soul, jazz, and rhythm that soundtracked his childhood. Drawing from records passed down by his parents, he reflects his Southern roots in selections that celebrate Black musical excellence. Deeply woven into the local music scene, he brings an intentional curation to celebrated spaces across the Twin Cities.
