Jordan Christianson is a pianist and teacher based in Minneapolis. He studied classical piano before discovering jazz and went on to earn degrees in jazz performance from Minnesota State University Moorhead and the University of Miami. Christianson has performed throughout the Midwest and beyond, appearing with artists such as Stefon Harris, Tierney Sutton, Kate Reid, the New York Voices, Peter Erskine, Marvin Stamm, Allen Vizzutti, and Ben Allison. His playing reflects a deep love of jazz tradition, lyrical melody, and the joy of creating music in the moment.
