Guitarist Zacc Harris will lead a jazz trio featuring Graydon Peterson on bass and Ben Ehrlich on drums.
Zacc Harris is a guitarist and composer based in Minneapolis. His musical journey spans various genres, but Harris has found his true calling in jazz. His guitar playing is characterized by its versatility, seamlessly navigating through intricate melodies, harmonies, and improvisational passages. Harris has established himself as a leading voice in the Twin Cities jazz landscape, garnering praise for his technical prowess and emotive expression. In 2017, following the release of his folk jazz trio recording, American Reverie, he was named Best Twin Cities Jazz Artist by City Pages. His 2021 Zacc Harris Group album Small Wonders received wide critical acclaim, including an elusive 4-star review in DownBeat magazine and a place in their Best Albums of the Year list.
Ben Ehrlich is a drummer, educator, and composer based in Minneapolis, MN. After studying with Ed Soph and graduating from the University of North Texas in 2018, Ehrlich moved back to his home state and quickly became one of the top call drummers in the Twin Cities jazz scene. Recognized for his versatility, Ehrlich has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with Randy Brecker, Kurt Elling, Diane Schuur, Jens Lindemann, Davina and the Vagabonds, Javier Santiago, the JazzMN Orchestra, Leslie Vincent, and many others, including rock, blues, and indie artists from around the country.
Graydon Peterson is a bassist and composer living in Minneapolis. He regularly performs with a variety of vocalists and small ensembles, including Arne Fogel, Wayne Anthony, Firebell, Snowblind, Charanga Tropical, Twin Cities Latin Jazz Orchestra, Tropical Zone Orchestra, D’Lakes, Babatunde Leah’s “Rhythm’s Mama,” and ThoughtCast. Peterson has accompanied world-renowned jazz drummer Francisco Mela for a series of concerts in Havana, Cuba. Other widely known artists Peterson has performed with include Delfeayo Marsalis, Gary Bartz, Randy Brecker, Ben Wendel, Jorge Pacheco, and Mayito Rivera. Peterson is also the founder of a successful jam session held every week at Whitey’s Old Town Saloon in northeast Minneapolis. A consummate accompanist, writer, and arranger, he has become one of the backbones of the jazz scene in the Twin Cities.
