The WPK Trio combines the best of straight-ahead, Brazilian, and contemporary jazz in the tradition of Brad Mehldau and Pat Metheny, Eliane Elias, Gregory Porter, Keith Jarrett, and Yellowjackets. All three members of the trio are veteran musicians who have appeared with most of the well-known jazz acts in the Twin Cities. All three have performed at the Twin Cities Jazz Festival, and all three have deep backgrounds in live performance and studio recording.
Mark Weisberg has played with many local jazz artists, including Debbie Duncan, Prudence Johnson, Dennis Spears, Patty Peterson, T. Michael Rambo, Fred Steele, JD Steele, Mary Louise Knutson, and Ginger Commodore Quartet. While living in Detroit, he played with Earl Klugh, Phyllis Hyman and Marcus Belgrade.
Michael Pilhofer has been a top-call drummer in the Twin Cities for over 30 years.
Phil Kadidlo has accompanied local artists including Prudence Johnson, Bruce Henry, Patty Peterson, and Wayne Anthony.
