Thomas Tacheny—a U.S. Navy band musician of the Dick Renna Orchestra in St. Louis, MO, during the 1970s and a member of the regionally accomplished Jim McGuire Trio from Mankato, MN—has been a supporting musician of Charlie Byrd and others for more than 30 years. Tonight, he is supporting his grandchildren in playing jazz standards. Delvin, Mason, and Nora Tacheny are all accomplished violinists with Northern Lights Suzuki School for Strings. Parents Steven and Jennifer Tacheny continue to perform as well. Expect casual, elegant, and lyrical jazz standards—especially in bossa nova—and original jazz arrangements of non-jazz songs on violin.
