Early Evening Jazz: Patrick Adkins & Ryan Garmoe

NO COVER 4:30pm Show

Pianist Patrick Adkins and trumpeter Ryan Garmoe will unite for two sets of jazz.

Patrick Adkins is an inventive, empathetic Minneapolis-based pianist and composer. An in-demand band leader and sideman all over town, Patrick has made his mark on the Twin Cities jazz scene, performing at jazz festivals across the Midwest and sharing the bandstand with luminaries such as JT Bates, Dean Magraw, Davu Seru, Michelle Kinney, and Brandon Wozniak. Patrick is a member of the modern jazz collective SPACE (which has released the albums "The Approaching Coast” and "Non-Trivial Problem"), and he branches out from piano to synthesizers for the indie glam-pop band d'Lakes.

Ryan Garmoe is a trumpet player and composer based in Minneapolis, MN. He currently leads multiple original projects, including the fusion group Wave Cage, which was recently awarded a Jazz Road Tours Grant to tour the Midwest. The band’s debut album, “Even You Can See in the Dark,” was released on Shifting Paradigm Records in 2023. Garmoe also performs original music with his sextet and recently released a collection of ambient tracks entitled “Sketches.” Garmoe has performed at Twin Cities Jazz Festival, Artprize International Art Competition, Iowa City Jazz Festival, 80/35, Mission Creek Festival, GDP Festival, Greeley Jazz Festival, Summer Camp Music Festival, Iowa Soul Festival, and 515 Alive.
