Sought after for his command of the guitar, his unique sound, and his soulful approach, Park Evans is a native of Ithaca, New York and a former resident of Minneapolis. He has performed with multiple acts in the Midwest, including bassist Chris Morrissey (Norah Jones, Mark Giuliani); Corey Palmer & Love Trade; New Primitives; cello duo Michelle Kinney & Jacqueline Ultan; guitarist Mike Michel; and legendary bassist Anthony Cox (Stan Getz, John Scofield). He now calls Seattle home and performs around North America with vintage swing/R&B outfit Birch Pereira & the Gin Joints. Known for his cinematic and poignant compositions, he has released five albums of original music and has worked as a studio musician on jazz, rock, alt-country, reggae, and folk sessions.
Greg Schutte has more than 25 years of contributions to music under his belt and has performed with the likes of Zakir Hussain, Giovanni Hidalgo, Wayne Horvitz, Empire Brass Quintet, Bakiti Kumalo, Anthony Cox, and Grammy award winner Ryan Bingham. Schutte is sought out for his refined palette, virtuosity, and remarkable acuity. He is also a man who can don many hats in producing, mixing, engineering, and composing.
Dan Carpel attended Berklee College of Music, where he was in the school’s Monterey Quartet. He was a member of Jason Palmer’s band throughout his time in town, and was a mainstay in their residency at Wally’s Jazz Cafe. His time out east also notably included playing in groups led by Godwin Louis, Noah Preminger, and Melissa Aldana. Since relocating to the Twin Cities, Carpel has regularly worked with Javi Santiago, Zacc Harris, and Abinnet Berhanu. He frequently performed with singer/guitarist Mary Cutrufello as well as Sonny Knight and the Lakers, and he recently became a part of Dylan Hicks’s Small Screens.
